All you need to know about automobile parts and dealers

The auto and truck parts industry is the second largest automotive industry in the world. They deal with manufacturing, distribution, remanufacturing, retailing, after work for automotive related parts, installation of parts, equipment, and chemicals as well as accessories. The automotive parts for cars and trucks may or may not be manufactured by the original equipment manufacturer.

Aftermarket parts of the automotive industry are of two types: replacement parts or related accessories. Replacement of automotive parts is done by the original equipment manufacturer when they become damaged or worn out. The accessories include safety measures, comfort, convenience, design, customization parts, and add-ons. Dealers like Autozone, Napa Auto parts, Rick’s Auto and Truck Parts, SAP USA Truck and Auto Parts, US Truck Parts Incorporation, American Auto and Truck Salvage, Highway 64 Truck and Auto Salvage, Deercreek Auto Parts and Collins Truck Parts are all highly rated companies in the country.

The auto and truck parts manufacturers deal with a large variety of parts and they provide a Do-It-Yourself option if the car driver is a technician. It is quite helpful that they provide the materials so the aftermarket service, done by the drivers themselves, saves a few bucks.

The automotive aftermarket industry is estimated to be around $320 billion. They employ around 4.2 million people who work at manufacturers, retailers, repair shops or distributor sections. The sales of parts and accessories have been on a rise since 2015. The turnover and need for new automotive parts for both cars and trucks are on high demand.

Everyone wants an extra unique customization. The time frame differs from dealer to dealer. Not every dealer has the right accessory on hand or the right access to customize your car or truck with the specific parts you mention. They have international procurement offices which are imported from countries outside of the country.

The auto and truck parts dealerships deal with a lot of middle men. Sometimes, they are able to facilitate a direct business-to-business deal, but most often they are the ones in charge of closing the deal. For mass production items, in the case of cars, they would have a competitive edge if they are able to gain the monopoly in that particular city.

The service provided by online retailers and the normal brick and mortar companies also differ. For example, online retailers like eBay and Amazon, being the largest sellers of aftermarket accessories in the country, sell parts in units or mass. They have grown since 2014 on a large scale largely because it is easy for drivers to avail their services right from home pickup to home drop-off. This makes it so much easier for people to avail their services.
