The Toyota Prius Prime can drive 23 miles on electric. The gas engine easily starts in cold weather. Charging takes two hours through a 240-volt connector and five hours on 120 volts. The car can operate alternatively between gas and gasoline.

Toyota Camry
The redesigned Toyota Camry is more stylish and comfortable. It stands out among the midsized sedans. It has the standard 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that gives enough power and 32 mpg. A 3.5-liter V6 engine is also available. The basic hybrid gets 47 mpg without losing its breath.

Toyota Prius C
The Toyota Prius C is less expensive than the previous version and gives you 37 mpg in the city.

Kia Niro
The Kia Niro matches fuel economy with cargo versatility. It has a front wheel hybrid engine that is 1.6 liter, 4 cylinders combined with an electric unit to give an output of 139 hp. With a six-clutch transmission and a lithium-ion battery array, it gives it 43 mpg overall.

Chevrolet Malibu
The Chevrolet Malibu is a midsized sedan with two four-cylinder turbo engine which is 1.5 liter with a nine-speed automatic which gives 29 mpg. The hybrid gives 41 mpg and has a powerful 2.0-liter engine backed by an eight-speed automatic transmission system.

Chevrolet Cruze
The Chevrolet Cruze is a big car and has a standard engine of 1.4 liters, a 4 cylinder turbo engine, and a six-speed automatic transmission system. A smooth start and stop reduces fuel usage and gives 30 mpg. The diesel model gives 41 mpg in the city and 60 mpg on the highway.

Ford Fusion
The Ford Fusion is a European sports sedan that comes with an option between a 1.5- and 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine. The sport is an all-wheel drive with a 325 hp, 2.7-liter V6 engine. The hybrid engine and Energy plug in the hybrid model are more efficient than electric motors.

Hyundai Sonata
The Hyundai Sonata has a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with a six-speed automatic gearbox, giving 28 mpg. The 2.0-liter turbo is combined with an eight-speed automatic and is optional. The Eco has a 1.6-liter turbo four-cylinder that is paired with a seven-speed automatic manual engine. The hybrid gives 39 mpg.
